<p>This year sees the BP Surf Rescue New Zealand Championships heading to the beautiful Papamoa Beach in the Bay of Plenty.   • With the one exception below, lifejackets are compulsory for all IRB Drivers, Crew and Patients in competition and competition training from the 1st January 2016.  Prior to the 1st January 2016, the wearing of lifejackets is highly recommended.
    • Note for the Tube Rescue Race patients do not need to wear a lifejacket but will be required to wear a High Visibility Vest and continue to be clipped in the rescue tube while in the boat.
