The Papamoa IRB Classic will see some of the best IRB Crews in
New Zealand go head to head in one of the finest competitions of
its kind in the country. The event is designed to offer crews
fast, short, sharp, action packed racing - ultimately competing for
the the chance to take home the Papamoa IRB Classic Overall
Entries Open: Monday 1st December 2014
Entries Close: Saturday 17th January 2015
Club Entries & Registration Spreadsheet are to be emailed through to the Event Manager before the 17th January 2015.
Invoices for entries will be emailed to your club once received. All entries will need to be paid in full prior to the competition commencing on the 31st January 2015.
NOTE: Papamoa Surf Life Saving Club reserves the right to stop any team from racing should payment not be received prior to the commencement of racing.

Crew = 3 person Team - Driver, Crewperson & Patient
This competition is open to any SLSNZ affiliated club.
Members must have the following qualifications to be eligible to compete. Papamoa Surf Life Saving Club reserves the right to limit the number of competitors per event.
All competitors are to have met all of the eligibility criteria outlined above by the close of entries.
Team substitutions must also be registered in some capacity for the event.
It is the responsibility of the Surf Life Saving Club entering a Team/s to ensure that all entered competitors meet the criteria outlined above and to check all details of each athlete prior to entry.
All Team Managers will be asked to sign a Team Declaration Form on Entry. Team Declaration Forms must be filled out and emailed with Registrations.
Please ensure you include/identify who the driver of each Crew will be so that the pre-requesite qualifications can be checked off prior to the event.

Age group is determined by the competitor's age at midnight on 30th September 2014 e.g. if you were 14 years old by the 30th of September 2014, you are eligible to compete in the 2015 Papamoa Classic.
Please ensure that you complete the Team Managers Details Form when completing Registration. This will allow us to provide timely information to key personnel and confirm that all Team Managers know what decisions have been made at all times.
The wearing of high visibility vests will be mandatory at this event. Clubs need to supply their own vests.
No vest - No racing
All clubs are required to supply their own competition equipment which must comply with the SLSNZ equipment as specified within the SLSNZ Equipment Specifications Manual.
Competition equipment may be subject to random scrutineering checks during the event.
Crews will need to bring their own fuel containers and fuel for racing. Please have respect for the environment with regards to fuel transfer to bladders.
Additional Papamoa Classic T-Shirts are available for purchase for Supporters and Team Managers at $20 each. All orders must be in before 17th January 2015 to ensure delivery of t-shirts by the event date. Orders received after the 17th January 2015 are possible, but distribution by the event date is not guaranteed. There will be no sale of T Shirts once the event has commenced.

At the conclusion of racing we will be holding a Prize Giving
and After Function at the Papamoa Tavern.
All entered competitors have their meal included in their entry fee. Additional Dinner Tickets for Managers and Supporters are available for $20 each but need to be ordered by 17th January 2015 for catering purposes.

Note: Team Managers are responsible for the behaviour and conduct of their club members and it is paramount that the venue, staff and other guests are treated with respect. A Management Representative from each club must be present at the function with their Athletes. Clubs will be responsible for ensuring that U18's abide by the Papamoa Taverns' under age policy. Any member of any Club breaching any of the rules laid out by Event Management, including inappropriate behaviour at the prize giving function, risks being excluded from future Papamoa IRB Classic Events.
