This year, the 90 Mile Challenge endurance IRB event will take place on Saturday 14th September 2013.
Venue: Ahipara and 90 Mile Beach
Entry Fee: $105 per crew (includes 4 meal tickets to post race dinner)
Entry Process: Entries can be made on receiving the 90 Mile IRB Challenge registration pack by contacting Liz Arcus on: 094094800, 0212965452, or firstname.lastname@example.org. Please complete one entry per crew.
Entries Close: Monday 30th August 2013. Entries after this time will incur a $35 late fee.
Registration: Pre-race registration and any final information will take place on Friday Night from 6pm to 8pm at the Far North Surf Rescue Clubrooms. (Takahe Street, Ahipara). All teams must register and collect final event information on Friday night. Event information will include directions to start, any updates to course and final lane draws.
Saturday: Race, Course and Health & Safety Briefing: All competitors must attend briefing at Far North Surf Rescue clubrooms 7am sharp.
Final Race Briefing:One team member will be required to attend a race briefing at Scott's Point, 10.15am on Saturday 14th September. Please note it is a 2 hour drive by road to Scott's point where the race will start. This briefing it to update any course changes due to the conditions. Please note: it is at the discretion of the Event Management Committee present on the day, to decide if conditions are suitable for the race to proceed or to modify the course.
Pre Race Scrutineering: All crews must be lined up in their lane order for pre-race scrutineering at 10.30am sharp. Scrutineering will involve all 3 crew members plus 1 support person standing with their IRB for final check of IRB, First Aid Kit, VHF (Channel 69) Radio and PFD's.
