<p>Once again over the Canterbury Show weekend, the Rarangi Surf club will be running the first of the Tasman events at Whites bay.</p> <p>Events contested over the Saturday will be a junior carnival, senior races of board, swim, ski, Sprints and Flags.There will also be surf boat and canoes racing as well.</p> <p>This year also see the return of the Hipkins Cup on Sunday, an ocean swim from the Fire station on Rarangi Beach to the finish at Whites Bay., some 3kms away.<br /> Sunday will also be an opportunity for athletes to try their hand under the instruction of the coaches present at any number of disciplines, from Surf Boat through to boards, skis and canoes.</p> <p>Camping is available right next to the beach a Whites Bay, please note it is not a powered campsite and you will need to advise Rarangi if you wish to camp prior to your arrival.
