We can lead and support more people through education and teach them the skills and knowledge to stay safe while having fun at the beach.

Surf Lifesaving Member

Surf Lifesaving Member

Joining Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ) is a one time only registration and there is no subscription fee. Every year a member must renew their membership by contacting their Club and paying the Club annual subscription fee
First off you need to select the Surf Life Saving Club you wish to join. This may be the Club closest to you, a Club where your friends and your family are members or purely just because you spend your summer months at this beach

Representative Team Manager

NZ Representative team managers are selected by each region.  The event is a step in the pathway for team managers to work towards acheiving national representative honours.

New Zealand Team Manager

The New Zealand Managers are charged with managing the Campaign plans fort international competitions and the World Lifesaving Championships.  The Managers are the key communicators to key personnel and manage the Budget, Camps, Travel, Equipment and Logistics.  Positions are advertised every two years in conjunction with the Lifesaving World Championships Cycle.  Currently positions for coaching are in the Youth, Development and Open levels.

The New Zealand Coaches are charged with managing the Performance of the NZ Teams, development of high performance athletes, supporting high performance campaign planning and delivery.  Positions are advertised every two years in conjunction with the Lifesaving World Championships Cycle.  Currently positions for coaching are in the Youth, Development and Open levels.
