Club Overview

Papamoa Surf Life Saving Club (PSLSC) is is a volunteer based, non-profit organisation committed to the prevention of injury and death on a 14km stretch of Papamoa Beach (Bay of Plenty). In 2013-2014: we had 696 members; 149 lifeguards volunteered 3815 patrol hours; 22 new lifeguards qualified;3 rescues and 44 first aids were performed by volunteer lifeguards; 2115 preventative actions were performed by volunteer and regional lifeguards to keep Papamoa Beach safe; we had 367 junior members (aged between 5-14 years old);30 rookie lifeguards participated in patrols (aged 12-14 years) 1st - 2014 Interclub World Youth Championships 'Rescue 14' France 1st - 2014 Interclub World IRB Championships 'Rescue 14' France 1st - 2014 Eastern Region Rookie Lifeguard Championships 1st - 2014 Eastern Region Pool Rescue Championships 1st - 2014 State New Zealand Pool Rescue Championships 1st - 2014 BP Surf Rescue North Island Championships 1st - 2014 BP Surf Rescue National IRB Championships 2nd - 2014 BOP Senior Championships 2nd - 2014 Eastern Region Senior Championships 2nd - 2014 Eastern Region Junior Championships 2nd - 2014 State New Zealand National Championships 3rd - 2014 "Oceans 14 " New Zealand U14 National Championships Australian Pool Rescue Championships: 23 Medals (7 gold, 7 silver, 9 bronze) 2 Papamoa athletes in the 2014 SLSNZ national High Performance squad; 6 Papamoa athletes in the 2014 SLSNZ development squad; 1 Papamoa athlete in 2014 NZ Open Team (Black Fins) at 'Rescue 14' World Championships - France - 1st overall World Champions; 6 Papamoa athletes in 2014 New Zealand Youth Team at 'Rescue 14' World Championships - France - 2nd overall World Champions

Patrol Hours

Summer Season -10am - 5pm every Saturday and Sunday - volunteer club patrols

Mid December to mid February
10am - 6pm every weekday - Regional (paid) lifeguard patrols
