New Zealand Team Management positions (re-advertised)
Surf Life Saving New Zealand again invites applications for the
following roles in our high performance programme for 19 month
fixed term positions (May 2013 to November 2014):
This is an exciting opportunity to be an important part of our
high performance programme and the defence of the Open World
Championships title won last year in Adelaide. We are looking
for exceptional candidates with the experience and determination to
create a winning environment for our high performance athletes to
excel in. These roles have been previously advertisedbut the
Board wishes to re-advertise them to ensure all the best potential
candidates have the opportunity to apply.
The successful applicants will lead the preparation and
performance of athletes in our high performance programme and New
Zealand representative teams including the 2013 International Surf
Rescue Challenge and the 2014 Life Saving World Championships.
(Please note: NZ Development/ Under 20 teams are subject to
competition and funding confirmation).
In addition to the specific skills and experience sought for
each role, all successful applicants will demonstrate:
- A passion for success and sporting achievement
- A successful record with teams at national or regional
level
- Proven leadership skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- An ability to identify and implement improvements
- Rapport and respect from the surf lifesaving
community
These are fixed term positions from May 2013 to November 2014.
All positions are voluntary with all related expenses covered
by SLSNZ. The New Zealand Team Manager role receives an
honorarium. Please refer to separate Position Descriptions for
further information.
Reflecting the importance of these positions the appointments
panel will include a SLSNZ Board Member or nominated
representative.
