More than 3,000 volunteers are recognised as members of our affiliated clubs and rescue services scattered across the top of the north island from Raglan in the Waikato to Ahipara in the Far North.
Surf club facilities cater primarily for the rescue and first aid work undertaken by volunteer lifeguards. Our 17 affiliated clubs and rescue services are our agents of safety, education and fun.
Increasingly our clubs are becoming the focal point of their communities with the ability to host social functions, public and community meetings as well as providing excellent facilities for volunteer lifeguards who give of their time each weekend during the patrolling season
