Who does what?
The role of a Club Development Officer
A CDO The first port of call for all club enquiries within a designated area CDO tasks include (but not limited to) facilitating area advisory committees (LAC/SACs), delivery of Club Patrol Operations Manuals, sports events, membership courses, supervision of area Regional Guard/Beach Education. The CDO also works with club leaders to help them identify and then meet their prioritised needs.
The role of a regional Business Manager
Responsible for business development and fundraising for national and regional activities in a given region. This includes (but is not limited to) developing relationships with key regional funders like city councils and regional trusts. The Business Manager also helps to deliver national business initiatives to the local area i.e. National Jandal Day. Note: Clubs continue to do their own fundraising.
The role of a regional Programmes and Services Manager
Provision of programmes and services in a given region. Includes (but not limited to) overseeing Beach Education, Regional Guard, Coastal Public Safety Programme, Regional membership courses (i.e. National Lifeguard Schools, Lifeguard Skills courses, coaching and officials courses etc), regional sports events and lifeguarding activity.
